This was my perfect, beautiful view of New York City that I had from my bedroom window this summer (it was much more impressive in person haha). It’s my desktop background, and has been since the day I flew out of LaGuardia and returned home. I don’t know why I’ve become so nostalgic for New York lately. There were so many things I hated about that city. The subway. The smell. The ridiculous high prices for everything. But lately I’ve found myself really missing all of that. Even my daily 45 minute train ride to work and back. Of course, there were things (a lot of things) I absolutely loved about that city too, and when I left I was dead set on coming back someday. I applied to a grad school in New York, but it was always at the bottom of my list. Lately though, it’s been inching it’s way back up to the top. I still don’t even know if I got in, but if I did, I’m going to seriously consider it, whereas before it was just sort of my “safety” school.
Oh New York City… you’ve got a hold on my heart that I just can’t shake.
